At Edinburgh Grosvenor Hotel, we are working hard to ensure that our hotel is doing all that we can to provide guests and employees a safe, welcoming and clean environment. During the COVID-19 pandemic, our Hotel provided accommodation to essential workers meaning measures have been in place to ensure the hotel is following strict Government Guidance.

Here are some of the measures in place at each of our hotels:
A queuing system has been implemented at reception with 2 metre floor stickers advising guests where to stand at a safe distance from each other. We have also implemented a strict rule that one individual/family is allowed in the lift at any one time, this is signposted and there are hand sanitising stations outside the lifts on each floor.
Check-in and check-out process
We want to ensure that our employees and guests are kept safe. Perspex screens have been placed on reception desks and debit/credit card machines are cleaned after each use. Paperless check-out is available, guests can confirm payment of charges and invoices will be emailed to guests after departure.
Hand sanitising stations
Hand sanitising stations have been placed in all main areas of the hotel for guests to utilise. All high touch points are sanitised every hour depending on the usage including door handles and lift buttons. Pen and key card boxes will also be provided and clearly labelled for those that are sanitised and used.
There will be increased cleanliness of bedrooms before arrival/after departure of guests. This includes disinfecting all touch points within the bedroom, all non-essential items have been removed from the bedrooms and are available on request and for guests staying more than one night, housekeeping services have been reduced to minimise interaction of guests and employees but will be available on request.
Room service and breakfast offerings
Room service is available, this service can be ordered via the phone and guests will be provided with a collection time or a time where the team can deliver to the room. All utensils provided will be sanitised and invidually wrapped and food handling will be kept to a minimum. Breakfast is available in the restaurant and we do request that a reservation for breakfast is confirmed in advance to ensure we can accommodate guests while adhering to guidance and social distancing guidelines
Meeting and Events
Meeting room layouts will adhere to strict 2 meter guidance including tables spaced accordingly. Breaks and lunch will be delivered to the meeting room at an agreed time and provided on a cart. Each delegate will be asked to collect their food/drink one at a time.
Safety of our guests and employees is our number one priority
Our employees have been fully equipped with the necessary PPE equipment to keep them and our guests safe. Perspex screens have been provided on reception desks to keep contact with customers minimal. Our employees have also been trained on maintaining a high standard of hygiene including hand sanitising after each interaction with a guest, rigorous cleaning procedures before and after each shift change and regular cleanliness upkeep within high traffic areas of the hotel. They have also been trained how to handle any suspected cases of COVID-19 within the hotel and how to keep guests safe if this did occur.
We are regularly reviewing Government guidance and continuing to train our employees on any new procedures issued where necessary.
